ABOUT
Who Is My Teacher?
I started learning piano at age 3—thanks, Mum! All through school I sang in choirs, played clarinet and different saxophones, and percussion in high school.
I completed advanced Piano and Theory levels through the Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto) before continuing my education at the University of Lethbridge, and studied Piano with world-renowned pianist Glen Montgomery. A wrist injury ended my concert dreams, but not my love for teaching—nearly 40 years and counting!

I play piano, accordion, drums, and guitar… and I’m learning the fiddle and hurdy-gurdy (a medieval instrument that is part violin, keyboard, and bagpipes—don’t ask!). I play Accordion, piano and a do a bit of background singing in a Celtic/Folk band, called Whoopsie Daisies.

I’m also a self-taught artist (Pine Art), creating murals, pet portraits, ornaments, and more. I dabble in languages, gardening, and birdwatching, and I adore animals of all kinds.
My grown kids and family are my favorite things in the world… maybe even more than music!
